Wanted to try out their services for a month, was thinking I’d probably keep, because needed minimal services. I initiated a port of one of my numbers, and then they stated it would take a week to complete. So I canceled everything. I then tried to port to another company and it was taking a while. After a week, I got an email from 8×8 that the port had completed to the closed account. I spent 2.5 hours with 6 different reps trying to resolve this, and in the end the said they’ve reopened the account, but the # is still not in that account and usable. I’ve been working with small businesses like my own for 25 years and their dashboard is downright archaic.. and convoluted. It’s like there was absolutely no thought given to time and ease of use to the end of user.

I have had them for 16 years and they have been a great asset to my business. Especially helpful when traveling abroad and being able to make calls like I am at my home office. The ability to host meetings and link my team together is great and stable with call and video clarity unlike the free services. The ability to integrate across platforms like my CRM, E-mail, conferencing, and cellular platforms is really convenient.

The one problem I have with 8×8 is that support can be a little slow to solve complex issues, and often there are hold times exceeding 20 minutes. They do always eventually fix the issue, however, so there is that. Overall, I am satisfied at the sites we use 8×8 at.

Anytime I have ever had an issue or question, a knowledgeable representative was available by phone, email on online chat. My questions or issues are always resolved pretty quickly. I don’t even know where to start – the 8×8 experience has been so terrible, exhausting, financially and emotionally draining. This is my first review for them because I tried solving things on my own through their channels. As things stand right now, my phones aren’t working on 2 of my 6 locations. I am being charged for locations I have had to shut down because of the pandemic. (8×8 is the only company that didnt offer us any support, discounts, or terms during the pandemic).
We are supposed to be a premium account, whatever that means, but have had no account representative assigned to us for months on end–essentially, no way to reach anyone in 8×8 with any decision making capacity. We must have spent over 200 hours trying to chase the cases and people within the organization, dozens of emails, scores of calls etc. I have spoken or communicated with over 20 people within various departments and offices but to no avail.
I have found that our setup was incomplete and the part that was done was poorly implemented. In fact, one of 8×8 people said that this product should not even have been sold to a business like ours without a full IT department. (we are a small business with 6 small restaurants).
This is my first review and I am of the mind to go on all social media available from here on out till I find some resolution that feels just. I have lost thousands on dollars paying for lines that dont work or havent been used, many tens of thousands not getting phone orders for months, and all I get is a runaround.
I am sure there are many satisfied customers of this company, but for my experience this is an opaque company with no accountability, no ethics and no customer service worth talking about.

Virtual agent was extremely thorough and patient getting service restored on a phone that was not connecting to the internet. The total time was about 2 hours…yikes! Thankfully he walked me through several troubleshooting steps to help eliminate the cause of the issue. We finally found the issue and he was able to resolve the issue partially through chat and remaining via screen share.

Love the functionality! It is easy to set up new users and easy for new users to navigate. I like using closed caption on video calls and how easy it is to transfer from my desk to a mobile device. I wish that my users could have individual, private links for each video conference so that we do not have people barging into meetings because they join earlier than the scheduled time. If it does exist, I have not yet found where to change that in the system.

8×8 has it’s ups and downs but they’re very good on fixing any issues that occur and they have regular updates which is a plus! I recommend companies to use this for their business as well, they have the most friendly reps and they’re very patient as well. 10/10 for sure, and they offer very many ways to use the application.
